Cleaning Wheels

gotta say that i have used the cheapo turle wax stuff [£5 from halfords and get another product to same value free 169144-ok.gif] and whilst it doesnt allow me to do what some wheelwax users claim: ie after applying it next time i can just hose the dirt off, i find that even a couple of weeks later all i need to do is use a sponge and water to clean the rims....followed by another application of the stuff...and they look great.

if after wheelwax you really can just use a normal garden hose to wash the dirt off then i might consider it but from what sven said it doesn sound like it so i'll save me £15 and get a free tutle wax extreme window cleaner too wink.gif

I use Autoglym Super Resin wax on mine, same as I use on the bodywork. I apply it when I wax the car once every six months or so, and then when I clean the car I just use a sponge and soapy water on the wheels and they come up good.

I won't use alloy wheel cleaner if I can possibly help it after many years ago Wonder Wheels made my gorgeous BBS cross spoke alloys on my Golf GTI go matt. openfire.gif
