Just a quick one! My neighbour has just passed his test and bought an old heap of a Rover 200. Anyway, the reg is *707 *JO. I thought you couldn't have an "O" in a plate because it can be confused with a "0", perhaps I'm wrong, just curious. 169144-ok.gif

The plate's worth more than the car.

I'm assuminmg that the asterisks in *707 *JO are there to hide numbers or letters.

So therefore it'll be something like N707 AJO.

Which is a perfectly normal standard numberplate and as such worthless surely?

God yeah. Looked at snapping up R3 OOC a while back with the aim to sell it on when the new Caterham range became popular. However, didn't fancy being a hypocrite and selling a plate intented to be spaced illegally. Should have gone for it though as I recently tracked down the plates R300R R400C R500C etc on and they are all Caterhams! Oh well, never mind....

Yep and im sure you can get plates that start...

0002

0003

0004

And so on...

you are indeed correct riz, i was behind an A4 the other day that had 0004 *** and it looked very strange. And it was the same character too for the O and 0.

Although with the very rigid plate structure now its quite easy to tell whether it should be a O or an 0.
