HELP!! I've got my winter tires on my std 15's that came from the factory. Problem is.... when I made the swap to winters, I left the aluminium valve stem covers on. I never gave it a second thought, until I put them on the car and went to check the pressure smashfreakB.gif Now I can't get 3 of them off crazy.gif Any ideas how to remove them without A) Ripping the valve stems or B) Pulling the valve stems out confused.gif

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated blush.gif

Valves probably brass, your stems aluminium (not aluminum eh?). Simple electrolytic action. I'd squirt some WD40 on the threads and heat the covers up by pouring hot water on them then swiftly try to undo them with some molegrips and a cloth wrapped round the stems to prevent damage.

happened on one of mine, so stuck the valve stem rotated...

in the end i got a pair of pliars on the rubber stem, and another pair on the metal cap

BUT for safety sake PLEASE make sure you do it side on, and not over the valve incase it go's BANG with 30 +PSI behind it.

I then replaced mine with plastic caps.
