hashluck
My dealer remians adamant there are to be no 2005 spec changes to the Cab, despite press reports to the contrary. I cannot help thinking they might at least put the new steering wheel in but then that is supposed to match the new grille so perhaps not. I see they have been messing with colours again. Ebony Black becomes Phantom Black on the saloon. Aqua becomes Marine on the Cab. If I had ordered a new S4 I was toying with the idea of Black Cherry pearl instead of Ebony but who the hell would have known except me.
Ari
Hope they don't add the new wheel, I really don't like it...
Chav
the wheel i could cope with... i just dont want to see those new style japanese lights. and am hoping they work out a way of fitting the new grill in without making it look stupid. Ari
If they put the new grille on then any future Audi Cab I have will probably be black (steady now Johnny) as it tones it in the most (plus its a cool colour anyway of course!) Chav
as mr snipes once said "always bet on black". it works for the cab. lurvely
Montana
Pick up the cab on wedesday and yes it is an '05 model so i'll have the digital camera ready. Generally I have found that Audi and their dealerships know less about their cars than I do. I phoned Audi uk a few months ago for the same reason and was told the '05 cab was all new with new steering and suspension so i was obviously delighted as new, generally means improved with audi (I said generally!). After I had hung up I realised the woman I spoke with may have not heard properly and presumed I meant the A4 saloon. Rather than call back I decided to wait for the brochure I requested expecting that if indeed it was a mistake, she would have sent the A4 Saloon brochure, but she sent the correct (a4cab) brochure. So I just decided to bide my time and wait. the brochure was exactly the same as the one I had previously from August with no listed changes. CONFUSED ? YES. At the moment I am of the persuation that there will be no changes for '05.... will update on wednesday
Big_Dan
It'll be exactly the same as the MY2004 ... except for some colour changes - that have gone right across the range, as hashluck points out. I think the new style wheel was destined for the new s-line spec, but it could well be slapped into the other models - I think the production line do whatever they like
drmbradley
I pick my cab up in about 4 weeks and it is a new 05 model. In fact when I quizzed the stealer over this all she could confirm was that it did not have the new nose. And she muttered something about a B7L chassis. (B7 lite maybe?). It would be sensible for them to keep as much standard as possible across the range. So the 05 models might just have the tweaks from the new A4 saloon such as ESP v8 and slightly different damper settings. I am interested to hear what you find out so please keep us posted. I will call my stealer today and pump her for some answers...
