Cab Colours

During my recent search for a replacement Cab I saw one in Deep Green and one in Alpaca Beige.

I have to say that they were both actually quite nice, and the only reason I would not specify either would be worries over resale value, which is a bit sad really and spoils the diversity we might otherwise see. In my humble opinion the only truly awful Cabcolour is Cosmic Yellow.

Usually my colour choice is easily narrowed down by ruling out the colours I would not have and ten by having a particular interior in mind. Sometimes I like to go with contrasting interior and sometimes 'tone on tone'.

Reason for NOT choosing certain colours, again only my very humble opinion and not meant to offend:

Non-metallic - looks and resale

Silver - too common and does not show off the Cab lines (exception could be the special order silvers)

Caribbean Blue - becoming common

Ebony Black - none! (Just bought one, replacing a Caribbean Blue)

Atlas Grey - none really but can seem dull sometimes

Marine Blue - none really, bit washed out/girly?

Cosmic Yellow - Just Nooooooooooooooooooo!

Dolphin Grey - none really, see Atlas grey

Moro Blue - only really works in certain lights and too soft, scratch/swirl city

Dark Green - resale, actually quite classy IMO

Alpaca Beige - def resale and I would always wonder if I made the right decision

Did I miss any? Red hood also a no-no for me personally, irrespective of exterior or interior colour. Have no issue with any interior colour provided tastefully matched to exterior.

I have to agree on Ebony, my cab was Ebony with cream leather interior, I liked it but it was a B*stard to keep clean!!

If I were to get another A4 cab it would be in grey or Moro blue!, I hadnt seen Moro before but when I saw Ari's A4 upclose I have to say I really like Moro!!

Caribbean is still my favourite colour - prefer it to my Moro one frown.gif

Surprised you've found it common though - haven't seen another around these parts for ages - and there's a few of them about with Audi UK around the corner wink.gif

Still thinking about Avus on the new s-line cab though sekret.gif

I guess that means it is just (an expensive) option on the S-Line then?

I see Sprint Blue is also a £1500 option on non-S4 Cabs, whereas a 'normal'option on S4s. My dealer reckons he would offer £1-£2K LESS for a Sprint Blue (or Red as well he said) S4, so let's be careful out there!

Yup, midnight run, left at 5:30pm, four hours up, four hours back. Home at 2am. Excellent!

Audi Cabrio really shows its mettle on runs like this, I got out without a twinge of back or leg ache, no headache, the car was quiet, stable, effortless, and comfortable. Average speed door to door was 69mph on the DIS, and 33mpg, so 30mpg real.

Absolutely superb! 169144-ok.gif
