UBM
i've got an A4 Saloon with a Dealers reg plate and holder fixed on. Any ideas how to go about removing it without breaking it? Does the yellow rear reg plate slide out of the holder and then give access to the two screws? I don't really want to break it off, but I might have to? Chav
maybe its just self-adhesive pads then? will probably bend when your pulling it off but wont snap. but not 100% sure if thats what is fixing the dealer mounts.
UBM
Tried to "bend" it off but something snapped! Had a look underneath and the black dealers reg mounting is fixed via two bolts onto the boot. I guess the reg plate could be sticky fixed to the holder, so if i can get that off i can unscrew the mount?
UBM
Sorted! 1. Take blunt kitchen knife; 2. Gently slide under reg plate and prise away the 3M sticky, left, middle and right; 3. Place reg plate on ground and unscrew holder. 4. Have a cuppa and charge 1h labour.
Chav
is your new parking sensor gizmo bolt mounted? the spacing cant be adjusted on the car, so the holder thing will hopefully have no drill holes so you can put em where you want.
