AudiPartner
I'd hazard a guess and its prolly a typo! Perhaps its 48,000, not 4,800.
CARACTERE 007
nope its 4,800 it does say ultra low mileage in the ad!
Jon
The drivers seat looks like it's seen 40K+ though. Be afraid.

[/ QUOTE ] Perhaps every one of those 4,800 miles was done in very heavy traffic!! Thats pretty strange though, 4,800 miles in 3-4 years- thats less than my Nan! cerbera
I'd actually prefer a car that's been driven at least a BIT....! Surely it can't be that good for a car (unless something truly exotic) to cover this few miles over that period of time ? Or does it not really matter ? I've just got my S3 (Oct 2002, 52 plate) with 13K miles on it and I thought THAT was low...!
cerbera
£ per mile must have been pretty horrendous for the owner then, taking into account the need for servicing(annual or once every 2 years min I assume) and depreciation....
Mollox
maybe the owner just had a really fat or really bony arse?
Colin M
Low mileage is very bad for a car. Typically they will have also been used for short journeys, also bad. Condensation in exhaust, in oil, rubbers perish, brakes rust, bearings seize, a/c pump not lubricated properly etc etc. Long term storage is OK in the right conditions but infrequent use is certainly bad for a modern car. I would prefer something that had stretched it's legs a little.
