Ska
My rear door Puddle lights arn't working and they dont register on the graphic module display when opened. Both the white and red bulbs in the doors are fine and the rear interior courtesy lights work fine...any Ideas guys?
felixthecat1
Could be as simple as a blown bulb. There is no way that they could be on their own fuse. Is it in both doors? Changing the bulbs is easy, just prise it out at one end with a flat blade screwdriver. You will be able to feel which end has it has a small recess. Good luck
Ska
Cheers for that but I wish it were so simple! I replaced the bulbs with new ones but no joy. The odd thing is that both doors arn't registering on the graphic display.
felixthecat1
Oh, sorry about that. It's a tough one then. Well let's hope it's not software. The only other thing I can think of is water ingress, although this would be a strange one both rear doors at the same time. Have you had any work carried out on the car receintly? UBM
Have you checked the fuse and the stuff on the same circuit?
pnifa1
Maybe the switches that close when the doors open are sticking open, do you often use the back doors?

PaulW
It's the switches inside the rear door handles.....they have gone bad....mine are the same way, I posted pictures from the Bently on this a while ago....but have not heard of anybody who has actually fixed this. pw
Ska
thanks guys ...Pual do you mean the switch is inside the door? Can it be replaced individually? If so how do you remove the rear door interior trim to get access?
PaulW
This is just a cut and paste from an old post....the switch is inside the door and it's broke. Both mine don't work...sometimes one does. Yes, we've discussed this a few times before, mine has the same problem. The switch is in the door latch mechanism, the Bently states that the whole latch mechanism has to be replaced, but I'm not sure. Ska
Thanks Guys. Taking the door trim off alone seems to warrant a full day off from work, Paul your right onr of the doors(passenger side rear) does work sometimes. Better chack with VAGparts and the stealer
