NewNiceMrMe
[ QUOTE ] The driver was probably listening to the Sat Nav and make a wrong turn... [/ QUOTE ] Surprised he could hear it with that glorious 507bhp V10 singing to him....it should be the only thing listened to in a new M5. The quote I believe was that a BMW Williams F1 car covers 25 metres in a second. The M5 covers 20 metres in the same time. That was under acceleration in a specific gear from a specific speed, and yes 5m is a big difference, but it is supposedly still staggeringly fast and not much has come close to the same distance in the same time. sayerbloke
25 metres a second is 90kmph [if my sums are correct].
NewNiceMrMe
[ QUOTE ] 25 metres a second is 90kmph [if my sums are correct]. [/ QUOTE ] Yes but it wasn't like a zooooom, went through 25m in a second at a flat out speed. It was like, zoooom from 30mph or whatever through 20m in a second, or something like that, if you get my drift!
sayerbloke
So you`re saying the car was drifting at the time?
NewNiceMrMe
Yes, a snow drift.
sayerbloke
F1 cars in the snow, you say? I believe that would be the missing ingredient needed to boost the ratings again!

xspencex
I recognise that pic.. It was from Monza..Don't quote me but I think they had 8 M5's there for Media testing, 3 broke down and a few were crashed.. altogether a successful day out..
