Yes that does look very japanese and although it looks nice it has lost its separate identity. I wonder what the European name is going to be?

Incidentally they thought the current Bora would sell well. It did more so than any of its predecessors but the fact its not actually called 'Golf' make any hatchback with a boot a questionable buy. This is coming from a guy who had the last Bora for over three years and loved it frown.gif (Depreciation!!)

I quite like it! Agreed this only looks quite tasty due to the alloys and bodykit, but in this guise I think it looks a bit like a Saab 9-3 Aero (side profile) which I actually think looks rather smart!

Miles better looking than the Bora Tdi I just sold (sorry Cheechy wink.gif).

When is this due out ? Sometime this year I'd imagine?

Pleasantly surprised I have to say, especially that side on shot. Reckon that could sell a lot better than its predecessor

Interestingly the Bora outsells the Golf 10:1 in North American markets, whereas here the Golf outsells the Bora 8:1. Its the most successful 'booted' Golf of all time, but I think the new car is more mainstream and will do even better. I personally hate it though because its just another bland looking saloon; reminds me of an Accord and will become a rep favourite I think

I think the car in the pics looks fantastic, tough I agree with xspencex that the base models won’t be so good.

I think that it will be still be called Bora. Don’t know why they never used the name in the US! One stealer (great phrase!) told me that it won’t be coming to the UK until early next year.

Don’t think they’ll sell very much. Small saloons just don’t seem to sell, I mean how often do you seen saloon versions of focus, astra, megane etc.
