UBM
Could it be a trick of the light - perhaps a good wash with a shampoo containing some polish?

NewNiceMrMe
I think those voting No are just on a wind-up Riz. I suspect you'd have been better just posting the pictures and not asking the question! Plenty of folk are going to post No just for the fun of it! NewNiceMrMe
I washed our cars before going out this afternoon, spent from 10.45am through to 1.30pm on them so by my normal standards it was a quick wash. However, did the full wash and blacked all tyres - only for it to rain seconds after administering the final buff to the tailpipes of my car. Subsequently, we took the 320d to the Metro centre....mine went back in the garage!
UBM
Snap. Spent ages cleaning mine the other day (Friday). Someone had a bonfire on Sat morning, so I had to clean ash off it and it was gleaming again. Then, it's been drizzling all afternoon.....I wish it would fit in our garage. Well, it would, but I would have to sleep in the car....
Ritey
Well Riz, I voted yes because you polish your tale pipes so can only assume that's polished. Again I'd have to run my finger over it 2 tell for sure !
sayerbloke
I applied Autoglym alloy wheel cleaner and whatever their equivelent of "Back to black" is [Can't remember it`s name] on the window rubber surrounds. Looks better for it
Scotty
I say no. I've never polished my S4 and the shine is similarly deep and shiny. It's hard to compare real world with photos. I use Swissol and a quick was brings it up like that. The other reason for voting no is because I doubt (waiting to be proved wrong) that Riz would have posted the question if he'd polished it. RossG
I voted 'no'. A high quality car wash will give a car a lovely shine. Surely polishing should only be done occasionally, to remove chronic swirls and scratches? Like mine has after the little oik washing the car didn't clean his sponge properly. Oh well, its only a car
