18ME
I've just bought a flippin 3310 on Ebay thinking that was the right one for my car but its not. So if anyone would be kind enough to give me their old 6310 I'd be very greatful Whats the difference between the 6310 and 6310i? presumably its just triband as opposed to dual band in which case either will fir the carkit, yes? Rustynuts
Either will fit the car kit (6310 & 6310i) and the i version is a newer model. Don't know what the changes are. The 6210 will also fit if you get desperate. However, you can also get a new head unit for your car kit so that you can use a different phone. But someone must have an old working 6310i they don't want?
Colin M
I switched back from my 6600 to the 6310i. It does exactly what a phone is supposed to do and has extraordinary battery life. They are become quite sought after these days and I don't think Nokia currently have anything comparable in their range.

[/ QUOTE ] the 6230 has good battery life, and unlike all the other newer nokia phones, the user interface is very, very quick. its the best series 40 nokia by far. eg click down and your contacts list is displayed instantly... not 3 seconds later as on the 6600. the 6600 is scandalously slow. the 3650 is far faster. i think the new colour hardware on the 6600 needs uprating to take load off the cpu
AsifG
If your car kit is manufactured by Nokia, it's gonna be a cark-91. The only phones that will work with that kit are: 6210/6310/6310i. Ebay is the best source for a phone, but as Colin pointed out, they are sought after at the moment! You may be able to get a converter from http://www.ora.co.uk/?page=shop/product_display&cid=1⊂=8&pid=1051 I heard that The Carphone Warehouse now stocks these too, but havent seen any there
Chav
i saw an adaptor on the web last night that modified the cark-91 compatible kits to take the newer pop-port interface phones. this would maybe work for the audi kits too cant remember the site tho, but i was looking for dashmount accessories and things. 18ME
Thanks for all the comments, most went over my head but at least I know that I can use either. Looking on Ebay they seem to be about £90+ for the silver version (used) which should look a bit nicer in the car.
shao_khan
I still use my 6310 most of the time, as Colin said - extrodinary battery life, just seems to kepp on going and going and does what I need a phone to do - make calls and send txts. [/ QUOTE ] Martin, I've got a 6310i in decent nick (it's got a couploe of small scratches on it but nothing serious, I can email you pics if you like). Make me an offer and I'll pop it in the post to you. It's the silver one, no box but I do have a charger for it. Drop us an email at [email protected] if your interested. J.
