You in the States Caveman?

Didn't realise.

There was a program on TV last night about the US's love of SUVs! Quite funnny. It said that the US made ones are all based on old pick-up trucks, do 12 mpg (making your A8's MPG look good) and that they are not as safe as the occupants think!

Personally, not for me!

I had a Nissan Navara 4X4 pickup prior to the A8 the thing that made me sell it was watching a guy put a Toyota land cruiser up on 2 wheels, he was doing about 30mph turned the wheel to the left then flicked it to the right and up it went EEK2.GIF

I thought christ if it goes over that easy what would it do at 70mph on a motorway if you had to take emergency evasive action shtf.gif

so I got rid ASAP

Yep - not made for fast manouerves! I do believe original Range Rovers suffer from that. And we all know about the Suzuki Rhino job (hardly an SUV/Pick-up/anything remotely useful)

And of course the original A-Class!

To be honest ttandka my very first thought was precisley that blush.gif I've always been a fan of the flat faced AMG wheels for instance.

However, having seen what I believe were the same wheels on a Merc SL last week, I have to concede that they looked superb.

So no complaints from me 169144-ok.gif

Could they have been the same - they looked VERY similar?

regards

huss
