Gren
I know a couple of people on here have got the 2.0TQ S-Line recently. What are the delivery times like at the moment? Thanks.
stevebalfe
Unsure, but wait for the 3 door version, ive seen the pics and it looks great. Would even consider one of those myself!! Quattro version, chip tune, in\rease bar presure, and there you go, a car as quick if not quicker than what ive got now!! And for less money too!!! Mad or what!? Gren
Thanks guys. It would be the 3 door version. No need for those extra doors and it looks far better IMHO

stevebalfe
The only question i have to ask you chaps that are buying the present shape in this car is WHY???? Why not wait for the face life model which will be available in week 22 for delivery?
SPLiiX
Or go for the Sportback? However the 2.0T does not come in Quartto
Booster
I went for the existing model as I don't like the new nose. Looks good on the bigger cars but it doesn't suit the A3 IMO. My car was due to be changed in september 2004 and I was waiting for the 2.0T Quattro so as soon as it was available in the S-line spec I ordered it, along with most of the options list
CarMad
[ QUOTE ] However the 2.0T does not come in Quartto [/ QUOTE ] What can't you get in Quattro then ? You can get a Sportback in Quattro or DSG... and You can defo get the 3dr A3 in Quattro both as a 2.0 T FSI, So ?!?
Gren
Will be ordering later in the year (summer) so the revamped nose etc may affect our timing.
stevebalfe
I have to say that i think the new face life both front and back, plus the minor interior improvements look great!! Much more aggressive than the present model, and that looks great! If the A3 is still the car for me next year when i change, i will defo be getting either the new S3 version or RS3 if available, but definatly the 3 door as the 5 door just doesnt look right to me in any colour!! To family/old hat looking from the side! 3 door much more of a true hot hatch type vehicle, especially if body kitted!!! Yet retains the practicality of a small family car. Perfect! I used to own TT's, and since ive had this new A3, i havent honestly looked back. Its quick, looks great and sooooo much better for nipping to curries to buy a new TV,slap the back seats down and through it in. Gawd, i remember having to put the shopping in the boot with the seats down and in the front passenger seat when i owned the TTR haha and the Coupe wasnt much better. Guess why there classed as a second car rather than how i use it as my main car. Although i do own, and yes im ashamed to admit it, a Lexus IS200 Sport. Looks ok, drives well, slow as bollox but full of toys for boys. Thinking of seeling it now though, dont need it anymore since buying this A3. Anyone interested ;-)
markant
Sorry I can't find any info about the facelift happening mid-year on the 3 door A3, could someone enlighten me in terms of differences and new features? Ta M
Booster
As far as I know it is just the nose being changed to the new corporate one. I would have thought that it is too early in the life cycle of the A3 to have a full face lift. The old one was introduced in 1996 and got its facelift on the 2001 model year. The current model was launched in 2003 so I would guess 2007? Then again, Audi are doing some strange things with their production such as scrapping the A4 coupe (my ideal car ) so who knows!!
