Tipex
My old ST TDCi only ever managed about 36mpg unless on a steady motorway run. Might have had something to do with the way I drove it though.

mk2srus
I've just recently done Hayle in Cornwall all the way up to Perth on one tank in my Mondy 130 TDCi. Me the Mrs and 2 kids plus a weeks worth of luggage. Sat at a steady 75-80 all the way and recorded 53.4 mpg for the journey. I'm chuffed with that. Tipex
You weren't going fast enough, my remapped Mondeo ST TDCi did 60mpg at a constant 90mph all the way to Italy and back, with 4 adults and a lot of luggage, still miss that car.
Riz
Just an update, the Polo is now returning on average 70-75mpg with the odd 80mpg figures if it's not too windy :D Riz
