R32Ash
not really advice, but my sis's 2 year old (at the time) daughter grabbed a dect phone out of my sisters hand and chucked it in the bath. Worked a treat when it eventually dried out, and the display worked better than it had before it's swim! Ash.

NewNiceMrMe
I know they're in stitches too, they just don't want to admit it. But, having admitted he dropped a phone in a cup of tea, I wouldn't worry about it too much...

Scotty
[ QUOTE ] No - I'm sweet enough already [/ QUOTE ] I thought so. No joke. If there's sugar then it tends to gum it all up. People often spill tea or coffee over keyboards. The ones that recover are the keyboards of non-sugar takers. It also helps as in summer, you won't have all the flies and ants after it. 5to1
If you switch it off and remove the batteries as you did. And allow it to dry out before tryin to use it again you've usually got a good chance of getting the thing working again. It's also an idea to open it up and give it a clean before trying it again. Especially the key areas, as the contacts can be obstructed (by dry tea in this case). Obviously not with water, evaporating spirit is usually best. Applies to most electrical appliances/gadgets. Mobiles, lapops, etc. For future reference.

NewNiceMrMe
Gee, if I look hard enough, I see a compliment in there. You had to get a dig in at the same time though didn't you....
Munki
It was a statement of fact rather than a dig, don't be upset. I normally ignore your comments, but I might begin to read them as the ones I have seen are becoming more bearable. I suppose that is as much of a complement as I am likely to give. NewNiceMrMe
That is sick. You need help if you think that picture is funny. Perhaps I should have hit ignore after all rather than give you the benefit of the doubt. Sick.
