ian_m
The Focus RS, now I am talking the whole package, IMO it is way too pricey for a Max Power mobile that has probably one of the most vomit inducing interiors in the history of the car!!! RossG
I have to admit that I do like the way it looks from the outside. Don't have much time for the interior though Havent driven one, so can't comment. But if someone offered me one cheap - well, I wouldn't kick it out of bed for farting. So, in summary, its not my favourite car, but nor do I reserve any bile for it
xspencex
Saw a Focus RS the other day in Newcastle.. It was spanking clean and IMO looked the dogs danglies... I really like them.. I've never been a big fan of Fords but have to admit to liking the RS in a big way..
Sparky
They look crap and they handle like a soggy cabbage. Best avoided.
NewNiceMrMe
I seem to remember Vicki Butler-Henderson (yes please ) saying that if she had to drive one for more than an hour she would rather walk.
activa
That pole is a bit unfair.I had to vote NO 'cos it was asking about the interior. But when I looked at the photo below the answer to the car would have to be YES,it does look good....... Wouldn't class it as a chav-mobile-surely they've only got access to rusty old Sapphire Cossies!
NewNiceMrMe
The pole might be unfair, but the poll seems reasonable to me...

NewNiceMrMe
I do. But I don't blanket cover Fords like you do! I would do most things (legal) to get a Ford GT thats for sure..
activa
Yeah, that is a serious Ford! I didn't intentionally blanket cover Fords, just never been impressed by the steering, chassis set-up on the ones I've driven.I'm sure a drive in the GT would open my eyes to what they are capable of doing. But that's hardly their run of the mill stuff! felixthecat1
I like it. And the problem with the interior is easy to solve. Just look out of the window. What are you gawping at the seats and dash for?
ian_m
Yeah but what happens when you stop at the lights and everyone laughs because "the play bus" has just pulled up next to them! ok the poll may be based on my opinion, but hey, £20k for a Focus! Give me a golf Gti anyday! I would even go as far as saying give me a Civic Type-R and the change (then i could use the change to buy a decent interior for it! )
RS4_Barry
It has a 4 spoke steering wheel ........ 'nuff said.

I reckon the only Fords I`d consider owning would be an RS200 or a Mustang [and then only some years].

Can't count the amount of Type R's I see on any given journey, almost to the point where I'm bored of seeing them.Whereas, maybe that's why I like the look of the Focus-it doesn't turn up at every set of lights and because of that it looks a bit different! ian_m
problem with the aRSe is that it looks too much like a standard focus that has had a nasty kit added to it! and I drive Focus' at work so I have a special hate for them! jojo
I quite like the look of the RS but agree with all on the interior. Do you think it would add to the value if one was to retrim the interior?
ian_m
I doubt it would add any value, but atleast you wont be ridiculed by everyone who sees it!

[/ QUOTE ] Can't see it.In 10 years time when they follow the Escort Cos. and are still going for 15 grand everyone will want "the original" and by that time will probably love that interior! felixthecat1
The interior is naff, nobody will argue with that. But there is nothing like a fast ford. I love them. Not as cheap as they once were but it's so much car for the money and it makes a change from all the other metal on the road. Type R, M3, GTI, R32, WRX all nice cars but nobody blinks an eye. Interior? get tints, and go the full chav hog.
zchybrid
I think it looks quite good, ford always try to make there hot hatches look a little "hotter" than the other marques in the catagory. and to be honest they alway do look a little outrageous compared to others, the 3 door 'cossie' whale tail and then the escort with equally impressive 'ironing board' spoiler shocked the public, but soon became normal to the eye to most of us. The focus seems to have more grown up exterior styling with just flared arches hatch and bib spoiler, motorsport, wheels big brakes, but it still looks more radical than the competion (civic type-R, cupra-R etc) as for the interior, 2 tone seats aren't to averyones appeal, but then again most ford veterans will love em'. from reveiws i've read and times i've seen them run, they havn't lived up to the "RS" status on the road or track .
