Botang
A group of us went up to Santa Pod yesterday for a bit of a challenge, I managed my best time so far: Reation 0.712 60ft 2.207 330ft 6.350 1/8 Mile 9.724 1/8 MPH 73.67 1000ft 12.499 1/4 Mile 15.003 1/4 MPH 93.14 So 15.003, was really trying to get into the 14's and came 3 thousandths of a second away from it. Oh well will have to try harder next time.
Chris_B
Nice work! What launch technique do you use? The D3 A8 has a feature where if you put the parking brake on in D, pushing the accelerator causes it to release. If you push the accelerator hard, it kind of launches. I wonder if doing that in S would result in better 0-62 and 1/4 mile times?
Botang
I generally load up the transmisson by holding my left foot on the brake and add a little bit of throttle. Its only for a second or two while they start you off. Not ideal I know but it should be ok.
nikw
Reassuring to have that spare box in the garage though, I imagine!

nikw
How much fuel did you have in the tank? Perhaps running on fumes would give you the extra four thousandths!
Botang
I only have 30 miles to go and i'm not in the red yet Any number of things could have made the difference, slightly higher tyre pressures may have given a bit less resistance for example. Did a quick calculation and worked it out to be 12 centimetres short of getting a 14.x.
