Dave
OK, I am thinking of chopping in the TT. Do i go all out for an RS4 (if i get on the list?) or should I go for something like a 3.0tdi A6 and completly tool it up??? My wife is all for the A6.. she found the RS6 too aggressive to drive and in the end she wouldn't drive it ( Magic eh!! ). I expect the RS4 to be aggressive aswell with a hard ride, poor fuel economy and high insurance. Conversly I expect the A6 would be comfortable, quite and very relaxing... I am getting on with age (34 now) and i can see how the comfort would appeal to me. There is so much traffic around nowdays can you really use the performace of an RS nowdays?? problems

Dave
I know!!, that's why I'm so tempted to pass on the RS.. i could have a new A6, fully kitted up with DVD sat nav, MMI, bose.. the works.. pretty much drive itself!!
UBM
And the 3.0 TDI is a top engine. Imagine the hassle putting yourself on the RS4 list, delayed delivery, recalls, Which colour A6 would you get?
Mollox
And you know you could have all that on the RS4 as well. Debadge it and tell a few lies to the Mrs You only live once Dave, and you have to make up for the lack of height somehow!
scooby_simon
Dave, When do you have to decide by ? shao_khan
IF you are going to trick up the A6 you may as well order one in a bespoke colour as well something like a nice yellow perhaps......

Now the RS shell with the 4 litre V8 TDi The A6 Avant piccies look great especially with those BBS style wheels. Chipped , that motor is really going to move and sooooo subtle
Ian_C
Dave! Thought you, along with a few other disclosed and undisclosed forum members, were a sure thing on the next RS! Sad to hear you are having second thoughts. You ruled out running a tidy spec tractor alongside the RS? Ian C
