steve2
taking car up to 4 thou in second gear and aso in third and car holds back amost like it is starved of fuel. Booked car in at dealer for a service(22/2/05) and they seem to think it is the MAF and what they do now is just replace the sensor on an exchange basis, the good news is that it should be covered by my Audi extended guarantee. Is this problem the normal thing for the Maf going wrong?
Sparky
I've been told that there is a known issue with MAF sensors on the VAG cars. Perhaps yours is one of them?
UBM
You've got a DUFF MAF or a MUFF?

marke
Had a similar problem on my Golf GTI 1.8T, but intermittently. First had the coil packs replaced as one was cracked. Then had a new Lambda Sensor as that was knackered. Eventually turned out to be a duff injector, however the MAFs are notoriously crap as SparkyUK says.
