Oh no here we go again!

Dipped : Audi Xenon's, Great anyway leave em alone esp. @ 90+ quid a bulb.

Sides : Philips BlueVision H6W on Xenon's W5W on Halogens (for DM's benefit) grin.gif. Great match for the Xenon's light white not yellow as per standard crap. Oh yeah that's H6W's for the Xenon's just in case anyone missed it. wink.gif

Mains: Osram SilverStar H7, again great match for the Xenon's & much better than the standard stuff. Before hand it was hardly worth switching them on, now I do it just for fun to get the fekr.gif's out of the outside lane, only after my patience has worn thin after following them for the last 20 miles of course.

Just one last time:

Halogen sides: W5W

Xenon sides: H6W H6W H6W H6W H6W H6W H6W H6W H6W H6W H6W H6W H6W H6W H6W H6W H6W H6W H6W H6W

Osram silver stars in the Dipped, and changed the Sidelights for the free blue ones (In fact got the dealers to change them up when I picked the car up)

I've done this with my last 3 cars to be honest. Although this is the first time I've not been overly impressed with them. Not sure why, expected the beam to be brighter!

Don't laugh ok.....

But I have the surgical gloves ready for this - and will put on a clean pair before I actually do the bulb bit!

Why do I have surgical gloves I hear you ask... well my wife uses them to put on her tan - St Tropez.

Don't laugh now!

I think you are laughing.....

Well worth it !!! 169144-ok.gif And you dont even have to remove the headlamps to get to the mains/sides - just the air inlet on the 1.8T (right side).

Come on - there must be more BulbMeisters to come out of the closet...

Yep, done mine also.

Cab with halogens. Fitted Osram Silver Star H7s and the free Philips BlueVision W5W bulbs (from Power Bulbs) for the sidelights. As everyone says, it's made a great difference. smile.gif

I'm just waiting for Flex Won to source the H9s for the main beams 169144-ok.gif

For anyone unsure whether to change - do it! I was a bit wary about changing at first as it's not like the old days when bulb changing was straight forward and there was plenty of room behind the lights. Just follow Dieselmeister's instructions (and Flex Won's Cab ones if that's what you drive) and it's easy. I actually changed the near-side sidelight and dipped beam in seven minutes (spurred on by Dieselmeister's 10-minute quote). Although I started on the off-side light cluster and it did take a good bit longer (20 minutes, or so) while I figured out what to prod and poke! For a Cab you only need a Philips screwdriver, a T30 torx bit for your screwdriver and a 3.5 mm allen key.

Easy. Just do it.
