Thought some people with PDA's might like this...

The Kit

Where you can buy it and full list of whats in the pack

some bits to go with it..

UK Speed camera database

Software for the camera database

Iv got a mate thats just brought all this kit and it works like a dream, I have seen it in action and it warns you when you are coming up to fixed camera and if you are speeding and the good thing is it doesnt cost an arm and a leg, you can get the cradle with it to go in your car to hold your PDA it works via bluetooth from your pda to the gps receiver so no good buying it if you dont have bluetooth on your PDA, im getting this kit soon so will have some pics and proper reveiw for you guys soon. 169144-ok.gif

Got all this on my PDA - it works a treat! Bought mine from somewhere else though! The camera and POI database is very good as it's updated monthly....don't forget you can only have 61 POI types with TomTom 3 or less (32) if you run an older version!

I've got the Palm version - bought it last year with the French maps, and it was great for our two-week vacation in France.

Only a couple of minor hiccups - one of which was caused because the GPS receiver doesn't always seem to sync up with the PDA correctly when it's switched on from cold.

It's even handy if you're walking around a strange town. Just slip the GPS receiver into a pocket and the PDA keeps you posted on exactly where you are. You can mark where you parked the car/got off the bus and navigate back there easily.

Top product!

I've got this kit with the bluetooth GPS Unit and an Ipaq 2210.

Couple of pointers from my 3 months of experience.

GPS Assist is better than checkpoint. web page

UK Post code finder is useful, quicker way of searching than using TT3 address search. web page

POI Editor is the software you have on the PC for updating the points of interest, whether they be speed cameras or hotels. web page You need to register on POIHandler or PocketGPS (Free for some lists) to get the database.

My GPS would lose its bluetooth connection regularly. This is caused by a slow sd card, so swapped to a cf card, works faultlessly, although a better quality sd card may work.

Load the maps onto the memory card.

Backup the ipaq to the memory card. They seem to have a habit of the battery coming lose and wiping everything. No problem if you have backed up, you can restore whilst on the road. My restore wouldn't work at first, had to uncheck registry restore to get it to work.

Got mine set up so I click the GPS Assist Icon and TT3 also starts.

Best resource for GPS stuff is here

Its takes time to get a setup that works, but I think I'm there now. If you have no patience, TT Go may be better. Think you can still load POI on to TT Go

This web page is also useful for putting shortcuts on the 'desk top' straight to TT or GPS Assist.
