fenn
Had the zorsts done today-NOW the car justifies the registration WOW.It sounds awesome-pleased to find that the noise inside is not increased by much(at 90-100 on the motorway it's no different),but it's certainly LOUD outside. When you start it with the remote start, there's only a couple of turns of the engine before all hell breaks loose!-I remember Jeremy Clarkson's famous statement about snapping knicker elastic at 50 paces-well-this thing don't bother with snapping 'em-it just shakes the buggars off! It even almost makes traffic jams bearable, just to see other driver's reactions as it growls by-a"Q"car it is no more. Everybody was dead right about Neil and Steve at LPS-top honchoes, although Neil reports that Steve is getting a bit touchy about having his photo taken so much!Apparently he's also not sure about the Da Vinci name-although Neil does feel that it's going to stick-watching hin match the bits of the new exhaust up it's certainly apt though. Get yourselves over there and treat yourself while the going's good-everone should have exhausts that sound like these. I even got a bit better m.p.g. on the way back(although this COULD be solely because I was in heavier traffic and so was cruising a bit slower)Just imagine if it's down to the Zorsts though-I've worked out that the extra m.p.g. will return my cost of having them fitted in 937 years! Can't believe I was out for 15 hours, did around trip of 350 odd miles and am £850 poore, and still can't get the smile of my face!
SneakyMcC
Another happy punter then. I like hearing good news (big V8's too ) Good luck!
Botang
Not noticed any increase in mpg, the opposite infact, only because I keep pressing my foot on the loud peddle though. I'm please your happy with the noise levels, its sucha a matter of opinion as to what is acceptable that it makes it almost impossible to advise. Thats why I suggested the cautious route, but if you have had it done and like it, even better

A8_Tony
Told you you'd be happy Can't wait to get us all together, particularly on a summers night, cruising down the sea front, wind in our hair (for those that have any) and a good looking woman in our passenger seats. (unless of course we're on the pull )
Lusso
Can you give me some contact data re your note on Zorst exhausts? Many thanks
fenn
Lusso-I got the exhausts done at LPS Autos, Ipswich. The phone nos. are 0845-181570 or 01473-610102 or 07887-486943, and the website is LPSAutos.com You want to speak to Neil, or Steve-tell them you're off Tyresmoke-they won't do the job any cheaper, but at least they'll make you a proper cup of tea when you first get there-after that you're on your own with the machine! caveman
is it possible to get these in the states??
A8_Tony
Caveman, LPS have had an enquiry from the states regarding shipping one over. The only problem being that LPS do build on the car to ensure that everything is absolutely perfect. Give them a call, or drop them an e-mail at [email protected] see what they say
Lusso
Thanks for the info, been in contact today they really seem to know what there talking about; trouble is i live in Bristol which is a bugger as they need the car for a day. Did you look into the cat back S/S Milltek system? Regards Ian
Lusso
Tony I noticed from an old forum that you visit the Audi mother ship in Bristol and as im trying to track down an A8 owner from Bath you seem to seem to be the obvious choice. If this is the case have you recently had a new Zorst fitted via LPS? Ian

A8_Tony
Lusso, indeed 'tis I. I was the first to have a new zorst fitted by LPS, well worth the trip matey, do it. You won't regret it. For not much more than the Milltek, you get something that is very much more in the flesh!! If you fancy getting together sometime, give me a PM. williama8
I have the Miltek system on my car and the looks that I get are something else, people think that your racing up the road untill they look around and see class driving up at normal speed, A8V8+SS Milltek=pure class in my book. Just waite untill you hear your car in an underground carpark, I go into Touchwood shoping centre here in Solihull just to hear the car
turbo_a6
lucky is what your are ttandka...would love the quad exit but I think 3,500 miles is a bit far to drive for an exhaust to be fitted...but may try the miltek who knows...
