Hi Graham,

Was just thinking about posting all my thoughts on this but am a bit manic at the moment with house move etc!

Overall, really enjoying the S3 and think I've made the right choice. A brief summary....

-Lovin' having some traction again(after the Coupe in the wet!). Had 4inches of snow over Xmas when getting up to my Dad in the highlands and it felt very secure.

-Very well built and feels more 'classy' than the R32

-Good MPG compared to my Coupe and the R32

-Good to have a slightly more 'practical' car again (what with moving stuff at the moment)

-Loving the avus silver(have always wanted a car in this colour! Sad, I know....

-Always wanted an S3, so enjoying the ownership experience

-Not quick enough for my liking(car was superchipped, but got dealer to take it off as my insurers weren't playing ball). Need a trip to Revo or AMD in a couple of months methinks..... wink.gif

-Convinced that my driver's seat is not going down enough - need to get it looked at as I just can't get a perfect driving position at the moment and it's really bugging me!

-Hate the 'crashy' nature of the suspension (18" OEMs on) when driving in town, but it seems to work well at higher speeds....

-Not nearly as much of a driver's car as the R32 IMO. Steering a bit vague, but I knew this would be the case.

-I have decided that I much prefer N/A engines.

-Miss the sound of a 6 cylinder engine!

I know that sounds like a bit of moan, but I'm a pedantic, moaning git (as most of you know grin.gif) and I had issues with all the cars I've owned. Overall, I really like the 'S' and I can see myself hanging onto it for a decent length of time. Only thing I'd change it for at this time is a CSL but I can't afford to run one at the moment smashfreakB.gif

Will be at Windsor tonight with ma wee beastie!

If I wash it today then I might try and get some pics sorted...

I know, I know.....I've been changing cars faster than you Lodders..... smashfreakB.gif

I worked out that I've had 5 different cars in the past 17 months..... UHOH7.GIF

I had to sell my Coupe as a new flat (just got the keys yesterday smile.gif) and new business venture didn't really tally with 30K miles per annum in an 'M'Car when it came to running costs.... frown.gif Didn't always give the right impression to clients either (unless they were petrolheads!) when turning up in a gleaming M Coupe (despite it being 4 years old and not really that expensive).

So.....sold that and the Bora and have got myself a low mileage, Avus silver S3 with silver leather.....very bling grin.gif

As I said above Lodders, only thing I can think of right now (that's half realistic) would be a CSL next year if I work my arse off!

Gotta be honest, I've got issues with the C32 at the moment, had a few niggling faults and it's making me think of getting shut of it, don't want to but never had ANY problems with any of the BM's I've had.

It is at the dealers now but if any more problems arise then I think I'll chop it in for a 330ci Sport Convertible!

Hope you get them sorted.....the C32 is another car that I'd love to own at some stage 169144-ok.gif

Dammit, just forgot that it's actually 6 cars.....I had a 330Ci Convertible for 2 weeks inbetween the R32 and the Coupe....... grin.gif Black, with black leather and absolutely loved the car! Good choice, although you already know that 169144-ok.gif

The Bmw 'experience' was absolutely fantastic though, in no small part to Baron's BMW in Farnborough. I'd definitely have one again.

What sort of niggles have you got with the C32 ?
