UBM
I know of nothing else. I know of an "emergency" fuel flap release - from insode the boot, but nothing else....

IanHo
Tis for mine, same as yours. People keep mentioning this auto boot release thing I normally just nod and smile nicely . Never saw it as an option. Also in the Avant brochure they say that it can be opened in 2 stages "This prevents any damage ocurring where there is limited clearance, for example in an underground car park" if so it's broke on mine! [/ QUOTE ] search out posts for anthony walsh [from a while back] for the 2 stage boot opening on the avant - either they did away with it or your hydraulics arent correct or something

Ari
If I recall they figured that despite being advertised as having it, the Avant in fact doesn't...
Chav
cool guess i havent missed anything then. i'm a bit disappointed by the ingolstadt brigade tho, usually they think of everything and even a ford mondeo has an "open boot" button
SPLiiX
Spliix has never heard of the two stage boot opening! Sometimes my key does not open the boot??? but I can not see the point of this button. If you unlock the car by mistake with your key and do not open any doors it will lock again right..!? However if you unlock the boot and open it and put something inside the car say, and then close it again the car locks. OK - so what if you unlock the boot from inside your house by mistake using the keyfob - your boot will then be open! Talking of the locks on the dorrs - I think Audi are doing pretty well on this, however it could be better! I have fob set one click open drivers door and 2 clicks and opens all the doors. and then when I drive away the doors lock at 10mph. So lets say I open just the drivers door (one click) and then get into the car and drive away - the drivers door will then lock - so the car knows I am the only person who is in the car. So then I stop and take the key out of the ignition and all the doors open - why does it do that - nobody but me needs to get out of the car???????????????? Sparky
Lazy programming? I agree about the boot release button. Someone at work pressed it on my desk and when I left work and started the car it started screaming at me that the boot was open. I argued back, but in the end had a look, and bugger me, it's open. Needless to say that person was verbally abused the next day. What if I had a laptop in the boot when he pressed the release button?!?
