AudiPartner
Right, might be buying another M3. Where's the best place to go for an insurance quote, considering I'm under 25?
Markus
The best place for car insurance that i know of is www.confused.com It checks 30 or so online insurers at once, and recently it responds with prices in as quickly as 60 seconds. Its great for fiddling around with the options and cars and seeing how it changes the price. I'm thinking of getting an E46 M3 near the end of the year, and i'm also under 25, so i'd be really interested to hear what sort of quotes you get and for what age car. I've done a couple of fantasy quotes and the best i've had so far is £2085. I do have two sets of 3 points (which come off the insurance this year) and two accidents (one 2 years ago, one 4 years ago).
loddrik
Tesco are usually pretty competetive.
Lagoo
Already told Lucy but give direct line a go, i had my M3 @ 26 so should be able to quote but i think that most insurers will have a minimum age of 25 on thier policies for M3s! Do like it in the green BTW
Markus
Admiral have been the best for me the last couple of years (currently own a 2001 BMW 320ci).
AudiPartner
Direct Line "Opted Out" of the confused.com quotes! Others ranged from £2400 to £4600. Tesco's yesterday came up with £2000. Keep on huntin'...
Nicky
have my csl through norwich union direct, was just under 1200.
MOSE
I eventually got mine with Tesco, for £723. Best quote I had but the excess is about £500, which I think is pretty normal for an M3. I might be wrong
NewNiceMrMe
04 M3 Convertible, 36 yrs old, full NCB, no points - £1068. I'm not happy with that. Tracker Horizons on it. £700 Std XS and £200 Vol XS = £900 XS I'm going to shop around when it comes for renewal. It's Direct Line. However, I did a test quote search on confused.com and the nearest came in at £1400! Not very impressed.

R32Ash
I used admiral for the R32, but I've found some good deals on SuperQuote before now. Worth a try anyway.
sidicks
I was with Tesco, but changed to Liverpool & Victoria - highly recommended for M3s! Sidicks
Mark Lynham
Im also with Liverpool and Victoria and have just renewed with them
NewNiceMrMe
Although my policy isn't due until March I have ran an enquiry past Frizzell today. Oddly enough I think they're either part of L&V or affliated to them in some way - because it is an identical quote to one I then requested via them - and L&V is referred to on the Frizzell website! Price came out at £1028.90 (and that was telling them a Feb renewal because they wouldn't do 6 weeks in advance). I still think that is rather high, I mean the details are so 'perfect' for what the insurance companies say are safe bets - 36 yrs old, no endorsements, no claims, full NCB Married, low risk area (check that elsewhere too) Driver & named (wife, 36, 1 x SP30, no claims) Garaged, Tracker Horizons (although I note Frizzell don't even ask that). Seems high to me - although their excess was much lower.
