activa
Seen on the A405 this morning. Genuine and standard(certainly in appearance). Now I know it wasn't the best 4x4 saloon but nobody can argue that it is a very rare car now.Infact I think it's probably 5 years since I've seen one.Wonder how few they actually sold? shao_khan
I will disagree here. Having owned several Cavaliers of various Mk1,2 and 3. They were very good at doing what they were designed to do which was cover a lot of miles for not much money. Now the Turbos broke the little money rules as they werent hugely reliable, but in general the cavlier is a very good work horse.
NewNiceMrMe
I had a 1.7TD hire car for a week in about 1994-ish. They were quick for a diesel. And, it was reported that their 50-70 speed in 5th was quicker than a Sierra Cosworth at the time. The turbo was brutal. Horrible cars mind you...even the saloons with a proper roof had scuttle shake I'm sure...!
activa
Steering and handling on the 4x4 was wooden to say the least. But still a rare sight!(if not the most exciting one)

OK not a f**ny magnet by any means but me and my trusty cav clocked up over 120000 trouble free miles in 2 years. Only a few minor repairs and normal servicing. Very comfortable on long motorway journeys and plenty of room for all the kit. I do miss her.........................(tear starts to form)
shao_khan
My 2 Mk 3 cavaliers 2.0l cars did 147k and 100k respectively. one died when a silly cow killed it and the other went onto a new keeper - most miles I have ever done in a car.
