Decked
Went for a drive the other day, followed the Sat Nav and proceeded up a dirt track missing the sign stating NOT SUITABLE FOR MOTOR VEHICLES. Anyway put a lovely slice through the sump and lost all the oil immediately. Anyone know where I can buy a tray or cover to prevent this from happening again? I'll ask and let you know as there constanly ripping the sumps of there three R32's they use. Last time i spoke to him they had just bought the Audi A3 3.2 to see if it was any better for going over road humps with and less prone to involuntry sump removel! TP27
I'm sure there has been reference to sump guards/undertrays for the R32 on TSN or at least a reference to where they can be bought on www.vwvortex.com TP.

Grume
Talking to a mate of mine who is a VAG mech, he says that all VAG cars are prone to sump damage, and recomends not getting one due to the way I drive! I know that doesn't help you but it is a common problem so there must be a fix. When I see him at the weekend I will ask his advice. Hopefully it will be more constructive than the advice he gave me.
