A8_Tony
The Amiga was a truly awesome machine, I loved both my A500 and A1200 (complete with 64MB RAM upgrade!!)) These machines were so far ahead of their time, no pc could touch them with their initial specs. Who can argue with a true 32-bit OS running in 512k ram????? And it came on 7 floppies!!!! It was such a shame Commodore went belly up, after all they even pioneered the 32-bit CD based Games Console!!!! Check out this link for the latest on Commodore!!! Sparky
I loved my Amiga A500 and A1200 too. I even got the A1200 with a massive 240MB (That's MB, not GB!) hard disk and when I got that, no one could believe how I could have got such a high capacity drive! I just loved it - hated the PC when I eventually moved over to it. Real shame it died - wonder what it would have been like now if it had sharpened up it's Workbench GUI and was still with us ??? A8_Tony
The most awesome computer on the planet. It was when it was young, imagine if someone had put some money and R&D into it!!!! The GUI was impressive in it's day, now it would be what Longhorn is aiming to be in a couple of years time!!!!
