Colvette
Check it out - I've just bought a new motor: Bling bling! The Touareg is my current car, and if any of you have seen these things up close, they're pretty big in their own right! The number plate is coming across from the Touareg too, obviously. So what's the opinion, then? Or should I not ask...

malagus
Im not gonna speak. Apart from one sentance- This is why the war on Iraq started.
Colvette
Loddrik: Yeah. Well spotted. Malaqus: Because I bought a Hummer? I think not. It was actually political reasons caused by the expectation of americans to not see change due to a growing world economy, and Tony Bliars desire to stay friendly with said nation. Colvette
Chris P: It's a 6.0 Litre Vortech V8 with 325bhp. It has all the toys - air-suspension, quad zone air-con, electric memory seats etc. I'm currently looking to have it converted to LPG too. The MPG is not as bad as people expect - between 12.5 and 16mpg (the figures quoted everywhere are in American Gallons), so with that in mind, it does similar milage to a Range Rover, and not dramatically worse than my V6 Toe-rag! Colvette
Snail: Sorry... I'll... go... away... now... Seriously, though - I have been "pricing up" my wheel options, and I'm afraid Spinners are definately out. I am planning some 24" chromies, though, as they're much cheaper. The spinners were anything between $10K and $15K!!

Lagoo
[ QUOTE ] Ahem. I nearly bought a yellow one, but I thought that was a bit too extreme... [/ QUOTE ] Good to see you back colvette So whats happened to the C5??
Colvette
Well, there was nothing wrong with the C5, and it was great to drive apart from one, teensy, tiny problem.... I moved to London. Blasting around wide country roads in Cheshire with a Manual Vette was great, but travelling at sub 10mph in a car with a heavy clutch in London rush hour traffic is about as far from fun as I ever wanna be. With that in mind, I simply had no choice but to sell it on and move into a "Surrey Wagon". That didn't make enough of a statement, though, so I bought the Hummer...
