geo_nr1
and it wasn't near as hard as I thought it would be! I have a few scrapes on my hands but nothing sore. Just wish the bulbs I fitted were a bit more blue like the Xenon. All in it took about 20mins with the drivers side easily being the hardest at about 15mins.....so I am £80 quid better off doing it myself rather than the stealers!! dazmondo
Exactly which bulbs did you fit, ive been looking at a whole range avalable on PIAA website there`s such a choice, just cant make my mind up but, like you i want the nearest thing to a xenon, without looking like one of those twats with a cheap halfords upgrade ! with a ting of blue rinse in the lense. just want the best for the beasts
geo_nr1
Sorry, no pics, didn't see the point when they look just like the "standard" buld which I replaced. I put in Philips H6W Blue Vision, but sadly no change in the colour. Any one installed different ones?
Gti_Fly
I found the phillips blue h6w's much were better than stock. Brighter and less yellow (although not true white/blue) Osram make some blue H6W's, and there is a group buy on them for £10 delivered on the uk-mkivs.net forum

Gti_Fly
Na u don't have to take off the bumper at all. I managed to change the sidelights in under 20 mins. You do need to move the car battery, which gives more room on that side, but that's as hard as it gets

geo_nr1
Ritey, As GTiFly said, you dont actually HAVE to take off the bumper for the R. If you remove the battery on the right, it doesn't get any easier, just dont do what I done, I disconnected the battery then got into a panic looking for my radio code, couldn't find it, but didn't actually need it The drivers side would be almost impossible of you have large hands or sausage fingers. A lot of that light is by touch and feel. I am sure that the golf link only works for Golf's WITHOUT headlight washers, not sure how much more (if any) complicated the washer setup makes it.
