Zenyck100
as above dealer offered to supaguard the entire car for me inside and out. just wondering is it worth it Zen
hotdog
Its fantastic! I had mine done and the finish is superb. I'd be a bit wary about letting the dealers do it for you. It has to applied properly otherwise you get a really bad finish. Any decent valeting places near you that do it?
Zenyck100
i think the dealer said they have someone come in to do it
hotdog
Thats good news then! Once its done, the colour looks amazing and its a lot easier to clean. No need to keep polishing and waxing. If do have it done by the dealers, make sure its done right. If there's swirl marks in the finish, or areas that have been missed, although you might not see them when its dry, you'll certainly see them when its wet!! TP27
Had mine done at delivery and seems to have lasted well.
JAYDR32
Had supaguard done through the stealers, they got someone in to do it, applied the coats and left it overnight to then be buffed.. I think it was well worth the money and when i clean the car now you really can see the shine and now almost a year later it still looks great.. inside as well, managed to spill some coke (drink!) that is on the drivers seat and had no problem getting it out!!! Calm Chris
It's a paint finishing / over coat system isn't it? Hence, I don't understand the remark about the seats??? I was lead to believe that its best done on a brand new, not driven on the road, car. This gives the best possible coat over an unblemished paint surface. If your having it applied and the car has been used, then very careful prep is required to make sure that all blemishes, including flies and road tar are removed before application. [/ QUOTE ] This is very, very important. When I had mine done, I had one panel lightly buffed to remove surface scratches which I couldn't see, but when a fluorescent light was held over the panel you could see the scratches. If its not prepped up properly, the finish won't be as good.
Gti_Fly
I can supply these complete kits for around £25!! I bet the dealer is charging £200!!
JasT
Mine was done when the car was new. After 1 year the car still sheds water like it's just been waxed, and washing it is a piece of cake! I've had no need to test the leather seats yet! Gti fly, can you get me any of that wheel foam cleaner (not the wax), as I've run out?

Hanbury
I actually had mine done yesterday at the same place as Hotdog and I have to say that it looks great. Mine was already a clean car (Jun 04) that I only picked up from the stealer three weeks ago but I was well impressed with how great it looked when I went to pick it up yesterday afternoon. Obviously I can't comment on how well it lasts (although having a peak out the window it still looks pretty good this morning!) One word of caution on a related subject though. I also had Metalmate applied to the alloys. According to the chap at the valet company this is the best alloy protector on the market. Unfortunately, before they did it, they forgot to ask me if any of the wheels had been refurbished recently. In fact all of them have had a little work but two of them were done in the last fortnight and the Metalmate has reacted with something used by the wheel man. The result is two immaculate wheels and two with white marks on (looks like they haven't been rinsed properly after washing). I have to talk to them again on Monday and I'm hopeful they'll be able to put it right without too much trouble but they couldn't sort it in the time they had available yesterday. Rich
My Dealers added this to my car for free after they fecked up. Although they were selling it for £500 To be honest I don't think its worth it. It had made no difference to the outside of the cra what so ever, the only thing I like is the piece of mind that if the seats are stained I know they will replace it if the stain won't come out. I used the stuff to get a mark off the drivers seat and it actually left teh seat looking like half of it was wet the whole time. Admittingly a phone call to them and I got it sorted, but its not something I would pay for. Rich
NewNiceMrMe
Full Supaguard, including the interior, costs the dealer about £35-50....and they normally sell out at £299 without the interior!
