Brabus
Featuring Supersprint cats and full exhaust I think he must have liked that bit of road...!

xspencex
Now thats a propper sounding car... I love industrial estates.... You can see the racing line (black line) being formed on the corner...
NewNiceMrMe
Sounds fantastic. Shame he drives like a nutter and nearly wiped out the car coming in the opposite direction.
JamesB
I'm with M3Me on this one. From other posts it seems like he's a pretty good driver, but shouldn't taking corners like that be confined to the track?

NewNiceMrMe
The car is fabulous as was the sound, and yes I agree it looks like he can drive - but not well enough to be doing that on an industrial estate... ..if the car had been 20 yards further on. Dead, very possibly. Incredibly stupid thing to do. Didn't the other car stop the cameraman and ask him who was driving? I'd have reported it, without any hesitation. NewNiceMrMe
Yes yes I know...but I also stressed the view of the road as well you know ya bugger! You know the point I'm making about him taking a corner at ludicrous speed when he had no idea of whether anything was coming in the other direction - and he was on an industrial estate with footpaths as he drove alongside them like Michael Schumacher without the ability! Were you there?
xspencex
I suppose that was pretty irresposible...as would high speed driving on the motorway I guess......anyone...what was it 155?
NewNiceMrMe
See above. Footpaths - blind corners - CARS!!!! And what caps it all off - premeditated and videoed!!!!!
NewNiceMrMe
Anyway, behaviour aside... SS backbox, middle and front section? Is that the main reason for the amazing sound? Ok its a CSL I know, any carbon induction kit or anything like that?
Brabus
CSL has a huge induction kit as standard. The main reason for the noise here though are the cats, middle and racing back-box. I hope to have this installed in time for LeMans 2005. And go GT2 hunting. MOSE
Think this car might have the whole SS racing system with backbox, x pipes, cats(sorry to mention the c word M3Me) and heads. There is another video floating about of a guy with a Pheonix Yellow Coupe that has been supercharged and had SS system fitted. Sounds very nice. R32Ash
What did yours sound like at 155mph (on a public road... during the rush hour) M3Me? ) I love the sound of M3 BMWs to be honest. Just out of interest, if Phatgixxer had hit the oncoming Audi - and provided no one was seriously injured - I doubt he'd have got too much grief from Plod. Being caught at over 150mph on a public road, on the other hand, would have almost certainly seen you enjoying a generous helping of porridge of a morning old bean! (Not being judgemental here, I'm as naughty as the next lunatic,. Just something of a case of stones and glasshouses et al me thinks! )
MOSE
OK, found the link I think.....somewhere on this page in between some other M3 vids is the Supercharged M3. There is another video of the same guy where he is talking about his car and modifications. Not sure if it on this or another site. Good video on here of the making of an E46, worth a look!! NewNiceMrMe
[ QUOTE ] What did yours sound like at 155mph (on a public road... during the rush hour) M3Me? ) [/ QUOTE ] Not a car in sight. I mean it. Nothing. On a full 2 mile stretch. Full able to see everything include slip roads joining the main road, which was dual carriageway, across ground where there was nothing either side but fields and a bridge that spanned a valley!! As for Plod not having a problem if he'd hit the Audi - i think the comments of the Audi driver would have changed that!

R32Ash
I had a membership to RacingFlix, I think I've let it lapse though I did find a few nice sound clips of various exhaust systems for the M3 on another site here though..
MOSE
If I remember rightly, the downloads are quite slow, on broadband, connecting at speeds of about 5kps. Spose this forces you to join the site. Sokay, just let my download manager handle it.
MOSE
Found the link to the specific video. Car has SS racing pipe with AA backbox. If you do a specific M3 search on the site it returns 3 whole pages of some great M3 clips.
