matt5791
A while back I posted here http://www.tyresmoke.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/268636/an/0/page/19#268636 I thought I would post just to say I finally found what I was looking for: these are the details: A8 3.7 quattro sport 51000 miles with full history Silver Price £13750 From independant Audi specalist. It took me quite a long time to find a suitable 3.7. I tried a 2.8 quattro sport first at the local main dealer which was a 51 plate and had 63000 miles - it was a nice car but just not powerful enough - I could see myself having to thrash it every time I wanted to go from 70-85 on the motorway - which on a busy motorway happens all the time. Also the dealer wanted £16,000 for it which I thought was too much. The 3.7 is from an independant dealer near Slough called Fontain motors - anyone know them? The car is basically completely mint inside and out, which is what I wanted, and the 3.7 engine is ideal in terms of wonderful low revvs at speed and more than enough power for me. So thanks for the advice back in November everyone. I pick the car up next week probably. Out of interest, does anyone know the exact performance figures for this model? - it is 260hp apparently Thanks, Matt
cruiser647
The Fontain motors in Iver, Bucks have been selling used Audi's for years. From what I here, they have a good rep. My mate (who is now in NZ, bought his 3.6 V8 from them years ago), and he only sold it on last year before he went to NZ. I think you need to go to parkers.com for performance figures. Good luck and happy cruisin'!
