UBM
Started to get some small black bits on my alloys which don't clean off with the usual shampoo. Tried my Supaguard wheel cleaner which I use pretty much every week. But didn't shift 'em. Got my Wonder Wheels Alloy Cleaner out and BINGO! Looking as good as new again! Ari
Yup, Wonder Wheels will shift anything, even the lacquered finish of your wheels... Will never use it again.
NewNiceMrMe
On the chromed 19"'s of my car I was SPECIFICALLY warned off this stuff by the dealer. Autoglym Clean Wheels - shifts everything and has never damaged a wheel yet.

[/ QUOTE ] You may be right, but I use it on already wet alloys and diluted down. It is applied sparingly with a brush and in the all the cars I've had it has never removed the lacquer from the alloy. However, I might have been lucky. Will give the autoglym stuff a go, but my guess this also contains some form of mild acid....
UBM
...oh...and a good coat of the Supaguard Supawheels Alloy Wheel Protectot after cleaning. I use the Wonder Wheels very occasionally - bout once every 4 months to shift those stubborn marks...
Ari
I actually had the BBS alloys of my Golf GTI go matt after using Wonder wheels. Not impressed. I find that waxing my alloys with Autoglym SRP when I wax the car, and then washing them with soapy water (Autoglym body conditioner shampoo) when I wash the car keeps them looking good. Never used alloy wheel cleaner on them yet, and car a year old now.
