Snail
So, we all go on about the great engines, informative steering etc of our cars, but what about the little touches you miss when you get in something else? What things to people miss from their car in other cars? For me, with my audi, it the little 3rd sun visor above the rear view mirror, you never notice it, but in anything else, you notice when you get blinded by the sun. In mums beemer, i really find the remote boot opening, its sooo useful when you have you hands full with shopping.
Ari
My Audi has remote boot opening, but it doesn't swing open, just unlarches, which is a bit of a waste of time. As to finishing touches... The LED downlights on the header rail illuminating the centre console. The red dash backlighting. The one touch three flash indicators. The way the climite control automatically selects "recirc" for 10 seconds when you squirt the windscreen. The way the glovebox locks with the central locking. Must be loads more... Scotty
The bonnet has hydrolic struts. The boot floor has a catch to hold it up when accessing under it. The a/c doesn't blast out air until it's warm hence not freezing you in cold weather. You can turn the radio without the ignition although it turns off with the ignition (you know what I mean) The radio can record traffic annoucements while away from the car. xspencex
Cars that have a small triangle shown in the cowel to indicate which side the fuel cap is.. I'm always driving different cars and I forget which bloody side its on... I think only Nissan helps you out here..
Scotty
My old company Mondeo had that. Only car I've ever seen it on.

I just never heard of it in this country.
Chris_B
[ QUOTE ] What things do people miss from their car in other cars? [/ QUOTE ] Everything! Seriously, the things that catch me out by their absence in other cars are the highway indicators, auto wipers and lights, and the adaptive cornering light. The A2 is quite shocking after driving the W12...
NewNiceMrMe
The engine, the brakes, the leather, the bum warmers, the solidity, the ease of driving....
Gren
Heated seats and, to echo Scotty, the way the fan builds up with engine warmth. .... you can tell it's winter. All I need now is a gear lever warmer

CarMad
Has to be rain sensing wipers and auto lights for me. Was expecting the rain sensing wipers to be rubbish but they are the complete opposite and make driving in the rain far more enjoyable and less of a hassle. Oh and the DSG, my driving is now a lot safer than it ever has been, the auto has tamed most of my foot flat to the floor acceleration all the time. But still plays when I am in the mood, its just right.
NewNiceMrMe
I'll second that regarding rain sensors. Before having them I thought "what a waste of time". But they're superb. Particularly on those stop-start rainy days.
