Botang
Produced an A4 in a similar style to the way Mercedes produced the CLK DTM would you consider having one instead of an RS4?
Paul
they could always do an RS4 saloon like the RS6. alas it wont be on my drive, i cant push to that sort of price tag.
biturbo
I have heard that the RS4 may have some resemblance of the DTM car

Dave
Jon, don't suppose you've seen anymore photo's yet?? Is it really going to be M3CSL type with carbon fibre and stuff??.. I'm not sure I want an out and out racer.. I would like it fast (obvioulsy) but i also like my bit of comfort on a long trip

xspencex
There were days when people say the only sports Audi's were the coupe's...what happened to that? Why the strong need for an RS Avant?...
Botang
How about a compromise, an RS Avant and a DTM saloon?
Insurance Jon
There IS an avant coming, it will just be a few months after the saloon trust me!
Ian_C
Be mighty surprised if Audi stuck two fingers up at their heritage by not only launching a [b7 RS4] saloon shell following Avant-only RS2 and 4, but by doing so first and deliberately delaying the Avant. Why would they do that? Time will tell I guess. Ian C
xspencex
Actually I'm kinda hoping that in the future there would be a succesor to the UR Quattro... RS running gear in a suitable coupe...
Insurance Jon
The "sedan" is to satisfy the yank market which is Audi's missguided priority at the moment. The good news is a friemd of mine has seen the production sedan and he descided it as.....horny!
Ben
The current RS4 will no doubt be the last true RS. The 6 ruined the limited production, exclusive, Avant, attitude that Audi had towards the RS. The Plus should have been the only model they released - looks like they realised that in the end. I'm only bitter cause I won't be able to afford a new RS4 - yet Cheers Ben
Scotty
I wonder how many times over the years the phrase "The current XXX will no doubt be the last true XXX." It's true....until the next one.

JamesB
No, I seem to recall this being said. I think there were even a couple of "Auto Express" type pictures knocking around, which actually looked quite nice. I try not to pay too much attention to the rumours as they just give me an itch in the spending regions.

Botang
So for those that wanted and still want more aggressive styling from the RS4 would you consider a DTM version? Dont expect the same engine configuration though, it may well have less power.
