scooby_simon
All, As some of you know we are off skiing in March, we've decided that it makes a bit of sense to stay in the Gatwick area the night before so we have no hassles the next day - we plan to take the kids for a long walk Saturday morning so they sleep some of the way there. Anyway, what I am after is a hotel that does a deal / has it's own parking and will take us to Gatwick (North) in the morning for our flight and pick us up the following week. Something like the "Le Meridien London Gatwick" is prolly a bit OTT, but convienience is the key. Want a room for 2 adults, 2 kids (one in a cot) with somewhere we can veg out in the evening while the kids are asleep. Budget around £100 ish Anyone ? Mollox
Is it that far of a trek for you? I can get to Gatwick in less than 45 mins on a good day and I must only be about 15 mins south of you Si. Sounds like a lot of hassle to me…?? scooby_simon
Try doing it with 2 small kids..... It really is a reduction is hassle on the Saturday, dropping of Ali, 2 kids 8 bags, one ski bag, on boot bag, one push chair and then me going to park the car will just be a nightmare. getting someone to drop us off there will be soo much easier, we can then go out somewhere in the morning with the kids. For 100 quid or so it just looks like it will make things easier...
Brabus
Plus you'll be able to check in the night before, I presume? Sounds worth it.
Jez
Simon, I can't recommend one as I've never stayed overnight in any of them but I've used a few for meetings and training courses when I lived in Reigate (about 15 mins away) so if you have seen any on the web that you like I may be able to help a little. Jez
Just thinking about it a bit more, as an alternative there are a couple of companies in Gatwick that will pick up your car and drop it back off to you from departures / arrivals. The best priced one as I remember was called somthing like 'Cophall Farm parking'
