Kevster
My clutch pedal has broken again for the 3rd feckin time! Its happened only 5500miles / 4months after it was last "fixed" by VW! This has got to be a record, no? This also gives me an idea for a new thread: What is your own personal record on breakdowns? Can anyone beat 3 occurances of the same problem? (all within 2 years of each other!)
Ritey
Good thread idea, start it in the General Cars section !! Not had a clutch pedal break but plenty of issues with it ! Feeling your pain !
Si_GTi
I've had issues with the clutch cable - the auto-adjuster failed and I was left with no way of selecting gears however Roadside Assistance came out and the guy manually adjusted the cable, before referring me to my local dealer for a new clutch cable, plus associated parts. With the exception of the pedal box recall, thats the only problem I've had with the clutch assembly, and thankfully everything is still working OK - except of course the slightly dodgy reverse gear, which likes to make a fuss 7 times out of 10 and make me look like a driving n00b Never had anything break 3 times on the car tho... gutted
shao_khan
Well I had 11 dash pods in my TT within 8 weeks of each other - does that count?
Moschops
Well the wifes Polo GTI broke down again this morning after telling the fecking garage about the fault the other week when it was in. So after loosing my morning ponsing about waiting for a techi to go out in the car and then waiting for a lift home...I'm well pee'd off. But at least the fault appeared whilst out with the techi, So I'm chuffed as he knew what the fault was straight away. Powerup relay had failed. Plus they are also going to adjust the gear selector again....

R32Ash
Odnet's 14 (?) clutches might be a good contender for 'most replacements'!
