[ QUOTE ]

I wait until a cab appears behind me with the roof down before deciding to clean my windscreen.

The over-powered washer jets soon fly over the back of my car and onto the now surprised and frantic driver closing their roof!

That helps wash the soot down.

but the cab has a windscreen. the water just flies over the top 169144-ok.gif

i've had several twats try that one when i've had the roof down, and it makes me laugh cos you dont get wet at all... same way you can drive in the rain with the roof down...aerodynamics!

You can only count on aerodynamics when you're moving.

I meant at traffic lights and I know I got one guy in a BMW softtop as he practically got out the car to wring his T-shirt out and come to have a word with me!!!

Of course, I didn't hang around for that. 169144-ok.gif

Did you speed away leaving him lost in a black cloud, James Bond style? grin.gif

Only joking, mine's an oil burner too beerchug.gif

Yeah, covered him in it. Looked like he'd just come out of a Chimney.

Mine really does not seem to smoke too much - even at the times when I have the tuning box and Millers Diesel Plus - perhaps it wants to be a petrol....

Same here, only billows when floored. I have just come back from a very very enjoyable drive up the A68 into deepest Northumberland and back again. If anyone has been on that road they'll know all about the sharp bends, blind summits, long straights and lack of overtaking places.

I had to boot the car a few times to overtake in a hurry and was aware of the clouds I left behind!

That said, I think it was the the hardest I've ever driven it (or just about) and the car handled superbly only lighting up the ESP when absolutley necessary to warn me I wasn't as good as I thought NONO3.GIF (I also had IanHo's recent encounter with a kerb in mind as well!)

A leisurely drive back to Newcastle on the A69 at 70-80 mph and 2,200 - 2,500 RPM with virtually no wind/road noise reminded me why I bought an Audi.

All I need to do now is clean it AGAIN 169144-ok.gif

Just hope you noticed them Audinewbie! Certainly should have done with the perfect vision though your new windscreen... tongue.gif

Fortunately I drive this road a fair bit so I [hopefully] know where the fixed cameras are. There are often unmarked cars as well and no doubt there'll be little white vans hidden behind every second tree soon.

All in the name of road safety you understand, nothing to do with revenue 169144-ok.gif
