R32Ash
You must be gutted Riz. Still, getting your new home sorted has to be priority obviously. Have you thought what you might replace the R32 with yet? Ash.

Have you thought what you might replace the R32 with yet? Ash. [/ QUOTE ] Yup very much gutted as its still as new to me, only just hit 8400 miles and even took out the GAP insurance when i bought it, it was to be a long term car. At the moment i think my apartment will really stretch me on my income... hence why im selling the R32... also need to spend some money on furniture etc. Once ive settled into the paying the mortgage, bills routine and im steady in my job i might look for a better job maybe...... im thinking about just getting a company van to begin with and then see what i can do..... CraigR
You will get over it Riz, like others have said, its only a car you'll eventually get something else. You're on the property ladder now which is a tad more important. Chin up Craig

Markallain
Good luck with the place. I'd like to think you'd get what you are looking for price wise with the R. Can you explain about the "Door's auto-lock above 5mph Alarm activation/de-activation beep" Think my Clio had the auto-lock but maybe the R just needs activating? BigMeanBob
Sorry to see you are selling Riz. Isn't it just soooooo bloody annoying when you are trying to take a photo of your car and some womble comes up and gets right in the shot?!! b0b
dazr32
had mine done when it went in for servicing last week mark. basically it does exactly what it says on the tin, doors autolock above ten mph for security when your missus or whoever is in the car on there own and it unlocks when you take the key out. i would be interested to know about the audible beep from the alarm on activation/deactivation though does it sound pants or ok. Markallain
Riz Is the Alarm beep something I can ask the dealer to set up as well as the autolock? and does the beep sound ok?

[/ QUOTE ] Yes the alarm beep and auto door locking can be done via your dealers.... They just connect the VAG-COM dealer device to your car and enable the codes. Dont let them charge you though as its a easy job. The alarm beep sounds good, its not the car horn, its like a proper beep. Riz
dazr32
on a slightly different note riz. have you not mentioned to the interested parties on here that your beast is for sale, lets face it they wont get a cleaner example and you might even get a part ex to boot. worth a thought. [/ QUOTE ]Mmmm well ive put adverts up and PM`ed one of the chaps.... i cant really make them buy it. The car speaks for itself and it`s very looked after, the price reflects the condition of the car. Riz
dazr32
the thing is riz we all know that r's are becoming rarer by the day so one in good nick will fetch top dollar but it is worth paying for and lets face it when you are talking over twenty k for a car then 2 or 3 grand isnt too far away when people are bartering atleast you know the car will be looked after and they know they are getting an unmolested example. Riz
Thank you people.... i still think the R32 is one amazing car I was planning to keep it long term so have always been careful and looked after it well.... always driven sub 3000rpms until the engine is warm and never been on a track. The next owner will be lucky and i hope it goes to a petrolhead like myself. Riz
