Visit to the dealer today to look at an R32

after my dissappointing visit to a dealer yesterday where the R32 looked abused beyond belief i tought i'd set off this morning to look at the last one localish to me.

Its 53 plate low mileage with full leather. At fist glance it looked nice. I inspected closely to find a few stone chips (no more than you would expect to find given that the UK roads are S***). A small scuff on the front bumper drivers side not to bad. The rest of the car looked pretty good. One alloy was a little scuffed (Front passenger side) and a small nick in the wall of the tyres. slaes guy said he will get the tyre replaced but i will ask for 4 brand new tyres as i dont want one brand spanking new tyre with three worn ones on a 4WD car. Inside was all tidy apart from a small blemish on the passenger side door card by the door handle, nothing serious it looked like it was sticky stuff which could be cleaned.

The test drive........

Sales guy let me drive the car for around 25 minutes. Must say was impressed how smooth the car was. takes some getting used to after having turbo power for so long. Averaged 27 MPG on my test drive too. There were no apparant rattles which alot of owners complain about.

Got bacnk to the dealership and started discussing part ex prices. I left him with the part ex prices ive had from two other VW dealers which was £8000 & £8500 and told him not too take the piss as i paid £13500 for the car 2 years ago.

Sales man will get back to me tomorrow and we can see if a deal can be struck.
