Popped into the stealers to buy a new dust cap for my engine cover, as one had "gone". £2.38 in VAT for a small piece of plastic! Can't believe it.

Still, saw a new S4 avant, S4 cab, other cabs, several new A4's including a 2.0T and an A3 which was in the showroom and had a cobweb on its front wheels!

I think the back end would look a bit better if they would put the boot spoiler back on for the s-line. On the B6 it was only little but made the back end look a bit more "butch". The small raised flare on the boot panel just isn't the same. I must admit I prefer the new rear lights though.

I said in a post last week that although I'm not a fan of the new corporate grille, the 2.0T FSI I saw in the dealers looked nice. Very nice. I also said that it was the closet I have been to "impulse buying" a car for a long time. What is not helping is driving past the dealers almost every day when I'm out and about. UHOH7.GIF

My wife is getting suspicious of all the brochures lying around and has hidden my cheque book. NONO3.GIF

If only those indicator colours were clear that would be better.

I agree... there are good and bad points. why did the designers put in orange indicators when the rest of the fleet has clear ones!!!??! This is a scheme to make people pay more for the "updated" B7 with clear indicators.

Saw one in the flesh the other day passing in the opposite direction.. daytime running lights were on and it looked like the nuovolari concept in irobot from afar!

btw, did anyone notice that all the cars in i-robot are audi? not a single non-audi car. hehe.. major sponsorship.

Yeah, A2's cloaked as police cars and some A3's there too - it was obvious to me being an Audi nut. Top film.

My rear lights are clear apart from the brake light lenses. I prefer that, but after looking at those pics you posted - that's a damn nice looking car.

The rear lip spoiler could do with a little more depth (like the one I have as part of the GmbH kit) but otherwise nice.

Mine's not a u-turn honestly!! I said last week I liked the one I saw at the dealers. I think the back end could do with a bit tweeking but the front does kinda grow on you. I think first instincts (me included) are "better the devil you know" as all the changes means it doesn't look like the car parked outside your house. I agree at the moment I still prefer the B6 but given time....... sekret.gif

In 4 years time and we'll all be saying:

"Look at that B8, it's crap. I'm pleased I got my B7 V12 S-line just in time especially as they threw in 20" wheels!" grin.gif

Saw another silver one today.

Didnt work for me NONO3.GIF

But everyone to their own.

And its still a well built, comfortable, nice place to be sat when your driving it.

The nicest front grill shots I've seen are the brilliant red S4's.

It works in an aggressively ugly way. Still looks front heavy though.

I've seen 2 close up so far, one red and one black. Both looked good but the red looked best IMO. Haven't seen silver or grey yet so don't know how they look.

I am resisting taking the 2.0T FSI for a test drive as I don't want to be tempted any more than I am.

Plus I've just forked out £250 tyres, £277 service, £50 windscreen and £435 tomorrow for the wing.

I should really get my moneys worth before p-ex'ing it frown.gif
