UBM
...what should I go for? I do about 14k per year max and rarely for business. Was thinki of the 2.5TDI. Need to get a used one, low spec (I've already got plenty of bling-ons). How much do you think I would pay for a 1 to 2 year old cab and which colour. I like cosmic yellow and the red.... Chav
DM, if your mileage is so low, get a 1.8T you can pay around 20K for a 1.8T cab in virtually any colour
Chav
the red isnt very cool, its a dark "amulet" red. you'll need to spec a new one for bright red, and it may cost $$$
UBM
By the way, I'd want the following options : Manual 6-speed box; Leather; Sport pack; Heated Seats. That's about it - and preferably 18" 9-spokes - would the stealer let me move my current ones over?
Chav
plenty of manual ones around. leather is very common, as is sport pack. the wheels you can definitely swap if you want to...make sure the dealer doesnt adjust the price too much of course

Phantom
Yeah this was Hashluck's old Cab before getting his S4. I quite like Carribean Blue
UBM
So all I'd need is the S4 grills....the carribean blue would show the bling off nicely.
Ari
You won't get (or need) a six speed on a 1.8T (although the quattro might have it. Gcab?). I wouldn't bother with quattro personally, plus it only became available recently so more sponduliks.
Big_Dan
Yup, the 1.8 T Quattro has a 6 speed box.
Chav
[ QUOTE ] Yup, the 1.8 T Quattro has a 6 speed box. [/ QUOTE ] The 6 speed box was only added in 2004 though. (or maybe 2003) Pre-2004 models will have a 5-speed box, even the 3.0. Similarly I think it was 2004, when the multibox got the proper S mode. Also suspension was improved in 2004. Cant remember what else changed since 2002 though?

hashluck
If you wanted a 3.0 Manual Sport 5-Speed (6-Speed not available at least on an '02 plate), Carib Blue, Blue leather, heated seats, Bose, auto dim mirror blah blah, 19K miles I can tell you which dealer has my old one ;-)

UBM
Me too! I'm quite tempted - really, not just cos I'm feeling like crud! Silly question, can you get cycle carriers for a cab (rear mount of course) - otherwise it's probably a nono!
