AudiPartner
Picked up my E30 M3 last night from the storage company that has been looking after it for the last 5 years and look what else was there!!! Excuse the poor photography, the lighting was poor, the flash made no odds, and for some reason when I use the camera without the flash it blurs! Really should read the book! Anyway, among numerous other cars that none of us could afford, this is what we saw... The 1954 Ferrari 735 Monza is the only one in the world. There were only ever 3 made, and this is the only one left (and I've touched it!). The owner refused an offer of £2.5 million for it last year. The place has contents insurance for £30 million!! I should have felt more content than I did driving my E30 out the drive...

[/ QUOTE ] Some time ago, I went to a classic Rally in Belgium. (Mate uncle was running an original Mini Cooper) and whiles tooking at Hilman Imps and the like we wander upon a nice red Ferrari. Upon closer inspection we decide this is something special. On even further inspection (we were very young at the time) we see it looks like a 250GTO. Now we think these are worth a few pennies (this has at the height of the "super car" sillyness) and we assume it's a fake and just there for the pictures / not actually joining the classic rally. Later we were talking to my mates uncle, and asking him why there was a fake 250GTO here, and he says, No, it's not a fake and it is running tomorrow. I will never forget watching £10m of car (at the time) being driven enthusiastically around the lanes in Belgium.

activa
Wonderful display of exotica, and the 6R4 of course A few years back a friend of mine took me to see his neighbours car collection(300 yards to the next house from my mates driveway, you get the picture!) F40,ZR1,F1,9II Turbo,Testarossa,Viper,Lister,512,AC cobra,MK2 Jag that had 75k spent restoring it,all with number plates relating to the model ie MY F40 etc. One of the highlights in amongst all this monster machinery was a MK1 Golf Gti that had full leather(including roof lining)done I seem to remember by Wood & Picket when the car was new.It had 700 miles on the clock and was pristine, hell did I want that car!
