CarMad
Welcome to TSN Nice motor. What to expect, a well built car that you are going to really enjoy. Dealers can be a bit on the poor side but the cars are great. I would run it in for the first 500miles at least taking things a bit easy on engine and brakes. After that slowly start to extend things. Then enjoy it and the excellent fuel consumption
kam
thanks mate I test drove one ages ago my only concerns are about the ride quality that all the testers seem to complain about whats it like day to day. It seemed firm but not uncomfortable to me on the test drive

Booster
Ha ha!! I went down to the Audi storage "hole" (and it is literally a hole) yesterday Kam. Saw both your car and mine. They were still wrapped up in their transport packaging. Can't wait now!! Not long to go!
kam
Couldnt find yours there when I went but managed to sit in mine can`t wait. Have you driven the demo 3.2 that theyve got yet.
Booster
Mine was just down of the left from yours. I wanted to have a play with the SatNav but it was in transport mode and therefore not activated. Very pleased with the interior light pack. They seemed to have remembered to fit all of my optional extras at first glance.
ScottishS4
Why must you wait until March 1st? If I were you, I would want my car ASAP. The wait is killing me.

ScottishS4
When is the registration plate issued for the car? Is it at the time of entry into the country or when one purchases the car?
Cupramax
When the dealer allocates it by registering it with the DVLA. They have a list of registrations and just randomly apply reg plates to VIN numbers.

mckeownn
Hi Kam, I got a TDI S Line in Oct and its a great car especially for motorway cruising. I live in London and the DSG box is fantastic although I have become really lazy and keep it in D or S mainly all the time. I covered alot of miles at Christmas(to and from Ireland) and thats where I noticed how smooth it was. Its my first diesel and although its a bit noisy for the few few miles until it warms up its very quiet after that-you notice the torgue straight away it feels alot quicker than it is....I think you have made a good choice. Hope it helps.

darren_mercer
Glad to hear other people are in the same boat. I’m also waiting to the 1st for the new reg. Dealer asked me if I wanted to go and see it, but I told him I would rather wait and see if all ready and shiny on the 1st and plus it will only make me more frustrated that I didn't just take immediate delivery. They have already fitted the chrome exhausts. Roll on the 1st.... it seem to be taking forever. Only another 1 wk and 2 days to go….! Dorgan
Almost have 10000km (6000 miles) on my 20TDi Sportback (6 speed manual). Only thing to really look out for is the oil light coming on when the car needs to be topped up. Been reading through the forums here and it seems normal for the car to want oil at this stage. Something to do with new engines bedding in and using more oil than normal. Other than that, it's fantastic. My girlfriend loves it as do the girls in the office. I think it makes them wet LOL
