Stitcher
Am looking to buy a new Porsche Cayenne in the next few days , can anyone provide any buying info. I've read a few posts in the forum that Porsche were discounting these as they couldn't sell them . Must admit that after trying a few dealers I'm not finding this, its basically thats the price, take it or leave it ! If any recent buyers can point me in the way of a good deal let me know. Looking for the V6 in Black or Silver with 20" Alloys, regarding the looks I suppose it is a love or hate relationship but I think it looks awesome when spec'd up. ian_m
I dont own one, but whilst looking on the porsche web site lately (for a boxster) I had a quick look around, I found a couple of nearly new Cayenne's for around 38k, now IMO that is cheap! Belchy
Funny, I absolutely hated them at first, but now am strangley drawn to them. I saw a black one the other day with massive wheels and it looked lurrvly.
Stitcher
Used V6's at Porsche dealers are fetching £39K upwards. A brand new one with Met, Leather, Tiptronic, 20" alloys plus a few other extras is £41 ish. I realise this isn't cheap but its a lot of car for the money. ian_m
I didnt realise that 41k would get a new one, in that case go for brand new!!!
loddrik
I wouldn't bother with the V6, it is not rated very highly, for the same money I'd go fo an X5 3.0d sport, much better residuals and looks great in Estoril blue.
Rustynuts
There's one here on a private sale for £34,950 Porsche. Fourth one down.
xspencex
The V6 is not that well appreciated, I'm surprised the dealer won't make you at least a little deal.. The V6 is quite a revy car, sounds nice but IMO I would try and look for a reasonably low millage Cayenne S...as for fuel consumption the V8's not that far away from the V6..I would recomend the Auto, the 6 speed doesn't suit either car very well IMO, and your right to go for 20" they make a huge difference to the look ov the car, Air Suspension is fantastic but expensive. Thats the problem, when you start to load up the options The V6 climbs very close to the V8... Again I would maybe have a look at some second hand Cayenne S's...But still surprised the dealer won't know a few pounds..They hate giving discounts out right they are more likly to hide a deal in a part ex..
