UBM
The last time I got badly snowed in was when I was on a course in Durham! It was April in Consett, the home of Phileas Fogg!
Milo
It is always snowy in Consett. It's like the peak of a mountain - ice, snow and ski-ing and all year round!

Milo
Welcome to TSN Jims4! I am in Whickham and it's been snowing here too. I would imagine 6" snow here though is 6 foot in Consett! I have attached a pic taken 10 minutes ago. Didn't go to the Bigg Market last night (too old) but did make it to Newcastle. Currently suffering from a big hangover! Ian_C
[ QUOTE ] ...if the snow and ice comes. [/ QUOTE ] Going over to Cambridgeshire this morning, slowing on the approach to a roundabout, a Vauxhall Brava pick up is coming the other way though the roundabout sideways. Very sideways indeed. Tbh I thought the driver did very well to get enough lock on fast enough to stop a spin. Looked like something out of Driftdays. Seemed to be sideways for an eternity before grip came back and he fishtailed off to the left having not started to get the steering unwound. Ended up going dead square into the kerb, coming to a a standstill just after the rears had bounced up also. Had just started to lightly snow, but the roads we far far from frozen. Just the driver not not treating a rwd with respect. Location (if anyone cares) was on A428, the first roundabout after the new Cambourne dual carriageway ends going East towards Cambridge. General location map above, too big to attach in post. Inset below, clearly showing when heading West you have to make quite a turn... Stay safe boys and girls. Ian C
