after remap

As a follow up to the AMD remap on my A3TQ just before christmas ....

Car is running lovely however it sometimes gets a bit jerky when short shifting gently. Seems as though the turbo cant make its mind up. Its especially noticable when cold.

Also the fule consumption has gone from 27.5MPG to 25MPG on average.

I have noticed that if I have the cruise control on and stay at 70 on a strech of road that I regularly use and set the DIS to display the "live" mpg, its noticably worse than before I had the remap.

All this said, I am very pleased with the extra performance as it now goes like a train compared to before and would deffo have it done again.

Performance wise its spot on ... no flat spots etc..

cars only done 17k and is 2003 plate

Ive noticed that a friends imprezza wrx does the jerky thing when shortshifting.

It does it when using (for example) 10% of the throttle travel and gets to around 2k rpm. You then release the throttle to change gear and then the jerk happens

I drive it very gently like this when its cold

Its like the turbo jerks on and off.

When driving the car enthusiastically, there are no jerks or flat spots anywhere

Anyway I'm not too bothered as its a very minor niggle considering the pluses Ive got from the remap.

I'm a bit jealous of Shao Khans finding with the MPG though slap.gifices_blah.gif

I went to coventry the other day and decided that I would see how good the MPG was when driving sensibly.

I reset the DIS and set off...

I live 2miles from the M1, so within a couple of minutes I was on the motorway with the the cruise set at 70.

With clear roads all the way (sunday morning) I made it all the way to Cov and back with a mixture of 70 and 60 mph, all on cruise control and very light acceleration.

(No sitting in traffic etc ...)

At the end of the return journey, the DIS showed 30.5 MPG average.

Does this sound about right?

Also, is it likely that the MAF is faulty on such a relatively new/low mileage car?
