iantate59
[ QUOTE ] Hi all Can someone help me out of my misery, I had the misfortune to take the jack out of its lovely case at the weekend and for the life of me I can't work out how it is supposed to go back in. Can someon take a photo of the installation and post it here please. Even my kids couldn't work it out !! Thanks [/ QUOTE ] That's spooky - me too, yesterday. It was so cold, I gave up in the end and threw it in the spare wheel well. On my jack, the screw thread actually came out of its housing as I wound it back down to its lowest level and I think I may have reassembled it wrong - although I cannot see how. I just cannot get the bloody thing back into its black plastic casing. I'm sure I know what's wrong - just I cannot get it to do what I want! I'm guessing the winding handle needs to be on the underside of the jack for stowage, or the right side as you look at it - it just won't go there. Any pics to help Simdog and me? Lussac
Is this a common thing then? When I had to change my wheel a few months back I couldn't get my jack back in the box either!!

lmmlmmam
I'm wondering if the dipstick 'technic' also designed the jack case?
UBM
here you go guys - you need to wind it back down and sort of bend the handle round...
iantate59
Thanks for the photo, DM. Your pic confirmed how I thought it should go. Went outside, threatened it, and the jack went straight in to its holder! How does that happen? Yesterday, 10 minutes and it wouldn't go in. Today, 60 seconds and it's in!! Thanks for the guidance.
